Gov. Strickland Presents
Platinum Award to KHN
On July 13 in Columbus, Governor Strickland presented the Ohio Partnership for Excellence (OPE) Platinum Governor’s Award to leaders and physicians from Kettering Health Network. This highest recognition that the OPE bestows has not been awarded in four years.

Strickland; KHN Chief Learning Officer Joseph Nicosia; KMC Chief of Staff Mitzi Johnston, M.D., and OPE Executive Director Elaine Edgar.
The OPE is Ohio’s performance excellence and continuous improvement program using the Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence.
OPE partners with Ohio’s organizations to help them reach ever higher levels of achievement. KHN also recently was named a Top Ten Health System in the U. S. for the second consecutive year. KHN features over 60 facilities, 9,300 employees and 1,450 physicians.
