Kettering, Grandview and Southview hospitals were recently recognized by HeathGrades with the rare Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence placing them among the top 5% percent out of 5,000 acute-care hospitals in the nation measured across the seven major clinical areas of cardiac, orthopedics, pulmonary, stroke, vascular, critical care and GI. Kettering, Grandview, and Southview hospitals have all received prestigious 100 Top Hospital recognitions by Solucient. All four of KHN's hospital Emergency departments are Chest Pain Center accredited.

Kettering Medical Center received the rare Premier Q Award, an important benchmark for recognizing top clinical excellence in the healthcare industry. Kettering has been ranked among the Best in Ohio for Joint Surgery by HealthGrades four years in a row, and Best in the Dayton area for Stroke Care and Treatment of Atrial Fibrillation.

U.S. News and World Report ranked Grandview/Southview in the top 50 hospitals in the country for the third year in a row for Respiratory Disorder Treatment and also for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Grandview/Southview is ranked by HealthGrades as Best in Dayton for Treatment of Heart Failure and Pulmonary Care, both for four years in a row, and among the Best in Ohio for Vascular Services, and best in the Nation for overall G.I. services.

Kettering Medical Center and KMC- Sycamore received the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates' Distinguished Hospital Award for Service Excellence. This distinction acknowledges a strong commitment by Kettering to provide an "outstanding patient experience". Kettering has performed over 23,000 open heart surgeries. Kettering houses the area's only Gamma Knife for noninvasive brain surgery and Dayton's first PET Scanner for the earliest detection of Cancer and Alzheimer's.

KHN proudly announces the opening of the Joslin Diabetes Center at Southview Hospital. This center is an affiliate of the Harvard-based center nationally recognized for its leading role in diabetes research, treatment and education.

Charles F. Kettering Memorial Hospital and Sycamore Hospital and Grandview have completely remodeled areas of their facilities specifically for Weight Loss Surgery patients. Kettering, Grandview, and Sycamore renovated their Emergency Departments to reduce the stress and anxiety associated with emergency treatment.

At the Sycamore campus, the Network features a full array of senior living options from houses and condos to assisted living at Sycamore Glen Retirement Community and 24/7 skilled nursing care at Sycamore Glen Health Center, all located in a beautiful setting of 100 acres of rolling, grassy and forested hills within comfortable proximity of Sycamore Hospital and close to S.R.75 and the Dayton Mall. Seniors can live independently at any level they choose.
